Best Buddies is an online store with objective to appeal to all parents who want to surround their baby with style and comfort. Your children deserve something special and unique and that is exactly what Best Budddies has to offer.

The Bed in a Bag was created in 1996 by my Mum, Mandy van Rooyen, who wanted to create a practical yet innovative baby bag especially designed for Mums who are all about convenience.

Being able to sew, my mother created this bag over a period of time, adding and changing certain things to her design until she came up with what’s known today as the Bed in a Bag, a light weight and portable creation, by Best Buddies.

Mandy, being a housewife and carting kids to school every day, never managed to expose or share her creative design with all the other fashionable Mums out there, thus never introducing it into the market.

Then 12 years later I, Tracey Harrison, daughter of Mandy van Rooyen, fell pregnant with my first child in November 2008. It was then that I decided that the Bed in a Bag needed to be “re-born” again and introduced into the market.

I knew that I wanted to create a situation for myself where I could be a stay at home Mum as well as a Mumpreneur. Thus the fact that I could be a first time Mum and have a flexible schedule was extremely appealing to me.

I am slowly planning on adding new products to Best Buddies. Thus far the Diaper Pouch is the latest addition, which is a handy little creation specifically aimed at keeping a few diapers, bum cream and wet wipes that can be thrown into your handbag or at the bottom of your pram.

Once again, all about making the lives of Mums more convenient. I am very passionate about my own products, and will definitely be using the Bed in a Bag and Diaper Pouch when my precious little boy is born.
